The article analyzes the influence of Soviet law on the emergence and development of the institution of spouses’ property relations in the law of Uzbekistan. The study examines the key legal acts related to property relations between spouses, as well as the works of Uzbek and Russian scholars devoted to Uzbekistan during the historical period under consideration. The research employs comparative legal, analytical, synthetic, and historical methods. It is concluded that the emergence of the institution of spouses’ property relations should be associated with the period of the spread of Soviet legal ideology and the establishment of the Turkestan Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic in 1917. From 1917 to the present, the formation of this institution has taken place under the influence of both Soviet legal traditions and contemporary Russian law
