This paper analyzes the substance and defining characteristics of Russia's contemporary constitutional ideology. It argues that its core tenets were established during the drafting of the 1993 Constitution and later expanded through the constitutional amendments of 2020. The author contends that the Russian Federation has yet to develop a coherent and unified constitutional ideology. The current framework is inherently dualistic, merging liberal-democratic concepts with traditional (collectivist) foundations. This internal duality hinders the robust evolution of the nation's constitutional system and fails to foster the societal mobilization necessary for achieving significant public goals. Consequently, there is a pressing need for a renewed and logically consistent constitutional doctrine. Crafting a new foundational platform – potentially based on a synthesis of moderate conservatism and the constructive elements of liberal-democratic thought – is a task that would likely require enactment within a future constitutional framework. The article advocates for a balanced integration of moderate conservatism and socially oriented rationalism as the primary catalysts for advancing modern constitutional theory. It posits that a revitalized constitutional foundation must incorporate principles of patriotism, collectivism, social solidarity, traditional family values, and sovereign statehood, moving beyond an exclusive reliance on liberal ideas and principles
