The article examines the main existing approaches to determining the socio-role typology of participants in the extremist youth movement "AUE". The relevance of the study is due to a number of factors, including the low degree of study of the subject of the study, the lack of a unified approach to understanding the essence and legal nature of the international extremist social movement "AUE", as well as significant differences in the ideology and organization of cells of the movement in different regions of Russia. In this regard, based on the criminological characteristics proposed by the researchers, the author proposes a conceptual and unified method of criminological characterization of the personalities of the participants in the AUE movement. The article examines the experience of both the Siberian and Far Eastern Federal districts, as well as the western part of Russia, based on research, scientific papers, materials of judicial and investigative practice. It is assumed that the conceptual approach proposed by the author will significantly optimize and increase the effectiveness of mechanisms for the prevention and prevention of crimes related to the activities of the extremist movement "AUE".
